Overview
A Senior Practitioner is required to work in this children and families team for a leading social services department based in the West Midlands. Reporting into the Team Manager, you will work closely with a team of Qualified Social Workers and Assistant Social Workers
This is a temporary contract for a minimum of 3 months with a probable extension to 6 months
Main duties
In your role as Senior Practitioner Children and Families you will be responsible for:
*Undertaking court work
*Section 47 enquiries
*Adoption and permanency work
*Supporting social workers and social work assistants
The successful Senior Practitioner will also have extensive experience of working with children and families
Key skills
To qualify for this Qualified Social Worker Senior Practitioner Children and Families, role, you will need to:
*Be registered with the GSCC
*have experience of working in a children and families team
*have a current CRB
*have current knowledge of the Children's Act
