Overview
A Team Manager is required to manage this children and families team for a leading social services department based in the West Midlands. Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will work closely with a team of Qualified Social Workers and Assistant Social Workers to assess cases and produce case reports.
This is a temporary contract for a minimum of 3 months with a probable extension to 6 months
Main duties
In your role as Team Manager Children and Families you will be responsible for:
*Managing a team of Social Workers and Social Work Assistants
*Ensuring that policies and procedures are followed
*Supporting workers in cases and offering supervision
*Ensuring that all records are accurately and properly kept using Care First
The successful Team Manager will also have extensive experience of managing a team of children and families
Key skills
To qualify for this Team Manager Children and Families, role, you will need to:
*Be registered with the GSCC
*have experience of managing children and families team
*have a current CRB
*have current knowledge of the Children's Act
