Overview
A Senior Qualified Social Worker is required to work in this children and families team for a leading social services department based in the West Midlands. Reporting into the Team Manager, you will work closely with a team of Qualified Social Workers and Assistant Social Workers
This is a temporary contract for a minimum of 3 months with a probable extension to 6 months
Main duties
In your role as Senior Qualified Social Worker Children and Families you will be responsible for:
*undertaking core assessments
*managing child protection cases and cases before the courts including preparation of statements, reports, chronologies, care plans and giving verbal evidence
*managing care planning processes and completion of paperwork for looked after children, including permanency plans for adoption
The successful Senior Social Worker will also have extensive experience of working with children and families
Key skills
To qualify for this Senior Qualified Social Worker Children and Families, role, you will need to:
*Be registered with the GSCC
*have experience of working in a children and families team
*have a current CRB
*have current knowledge of the Children's Act
