Start Date: 03/10/2008.
Contract Type: Casual.
Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 06:00am - 14:00pm.
Salary and Benefits: £6.11 per hour
The job:
As a Hub Operative you’ll be unloading and loading vehicles, sorting, scanning and labelling parcels to ensure they leave the hub on time and in perfect condition. Your responsibilities will include:
loading and unloading parcels from vehicles
scanning and labelling parcels quickly and efficiently
sorting parcels to ensure that only the correct sized parcels go on to the automatic machinery
dealing with items too large to sort automatically
maintaining safe lifting and handling of heavy parcels even during busy periods
working as part of the wider Parcelforce Worldwide team to improvement customer service
The individual:
Is a team player, willing and flexible enough to help colleagues to ensure that all our customers get their parcels on time
Enjoys working on their own for extended periods of time during a shift
Must be able to work well under pressure, dealing with issues as they arise to ensure customers get great service
Is able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg
