Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will assist with all aspects of the depot’s operational performance and profitability
Main responsibilities will include:
• Ensure compliance with all group and company standard operating procedures and policies
• Provide support for out-of-office incidents as required
• Ensure services are operated to the highest possible standards of reliability and punctuality in line with company targets
• Analysis and effective use of punctuality data to ensure depot achieves punctuality targets
• Deliver sustainable improvements in service, quality, punctuality and vehicle presentation
• Maintain regular contact with customers and effectively manage customer complaints and liase with local authorities and other local bodies
• Ensure achievement of financial targets such as payroll costs, unused spare hours and absence
• Ensure effective target setting and performance management of team members
• Ensure compliance to company and statutory requirements for Disciplinary process for mis-conduct, capability and sick absence.
• Assist with the recruitment process for operational vacancies at the depot
• Effectively manage staff attendance through the completion of Return to work interviews, and welfare interviews
• Effectively manage new starters through the completion of probationary reviews
• Line Manager to supervisors and drivers
• Actively promote a positive health and safety culture and ensure compliance to all Safety, health and environmental requirements and
• Complete depot ‘for cause’ drug and alcohol testing
Qualification or experience:
Candidates must possess recent Operational experience
