Mechanical Estimator with a design capability is required for a Building Services Mechanical Contracting Installation Division based in Solihull, West Midlands. Covering both small works and contracts up to £750,000. Applicant must be conversant with all types of Commercial HVAC Mechanical Services and be able to deal with various enquiries at any one time, be extremely motivated with the ability to prioritise and organise. Travelling will be involved.Experience as contract manager would be an advantage.This offers a permanent position with good opportunities for the correct candidate.
Main Duties and Responsibilities · Management of new enquiries and leads.· Providing competitive estimates for both pre-designed and design build H&V projects.· Formulating project take off, inputting and retrieving material and labour constants from computer database. · Finalising tender submissions· Preparing contract proposals and re-engineering to clients requirements.· Carrying out site surveys giving design input and best value solution. · Liaising with sub- contractors, manufacturers and potential clients. · Attend mid term and post tender meetings with Clients and provide savings for alternative proposals, thereby giving commercial advantage.· Providing technical and cost analysis.
Qualifications and Experience – essential and desirable · Computer estimating experience required.· IT competent in Microsoft applications.· ONC / HNC in H&V Mechanical Building Services preferred.· Experience in Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning Building Services.· Full driving licence.
