Electrical estimator needed to join this national M&E contractor in a key role for their Sheldon branch.
Speedy progression possible due to the pending retirement of 2 senior staff members, therefore any man-management experience a bonus.
Your role will be to ensure that accurate and timely estimates are prepared for all business projects from pre-tender to post-tender stage, maintaining post-tender communications with client/main contractor and project team to constantly evaluate the company's position regarding each submission.
The company serves commercial, defence, education, health, industrial, infrastructure, public building, retail, scientific, sport and leisure markets, with a 3000+ strong workforce spread across the UK.
Clients include many of Europe's top companies such as BAA, BAE Systems, BMW, BT, Bank of Scotland, Dixons, GlaxoSmithKline, HSBC, Hilton Group, Next, Network Rail and Wm Morrison Supermarkets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Effectively works within the Estimating team to successfully achieve company, Branch and individual goals and objectives relating to the accurate and timely estimation of projects at the pre-tender stage of projects.
2. Ensure that the content of each estimate fulfils the requirements of both the client and the company, and closely liaise with clients to ensure that each tender also meets these same requirements and timescales.
3. Investigate strategies within each estimate to provide advantages for the company against competitors but without any detrimental effect to the client.
4. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the market place regarding the level of pricing, competition, volume of work etc. to ensure that relevant and competitive estimates are consistently prepared.
5. Constantly ensure that suppliers and subcontractors meet the company's standards, requirements and timescales.
