My client is a leading not-for-profit provider of support services to disabled people in the UK and in 54 countries worldwide.

We are currently seeking to recruit a HR Officer to work with the HR manager in the Care at Home Division. This division covers England and Scotland and employs 1400 people, a high proportion of them part time carers.

Based at home or in the Wolverhampton office, the main purpose of the role is

To support the Divisional Human Resources Manager in progressing HR strategic initiatives within the Division.

Responsible for defined areas of HR and project work.

Providing day to day operational HR support to supplement the work of Regional Functional Managers.

The role has 3 key areas of focus: HR, training and health and safety and both project and operational work will revolve around these.

Current projects include, HR database and MI, health and safety and induction. Change management is a constant part of the role and experience of TUPE transfer would be a distinct advantage.

The role involves a large amount of UK travel, some requiring overnight stays. The HR Manager also travels extensively, so you are only likely to have face to face meetings with your manager once every 1 to 2 weeks. It is therefore essential that you are able to act on your own initiative, but also recognise the boundaries of your authority.

In order to succeed in this role you should be a seasoned HR professional, Ideally CIPD qualified, with excellent communications skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels. Experience in the Care Sector would also be advantageous.

This position is initially offered on a 12 month fixed term contract, of a salary of £35,000.
