Job Description

Job Title: Engineering Manager Location: Coventry Salary: GBP25-GBP27 per hour (3 month contract)

Engineering Manager

Purpose To ensure the vehicle range is always compliant with the requirments of legislation and regulation in all current and new markets.

Experience Throrough knowledge of moor vehicle design, an experiece in the Automotive product design, test, validation and manufacturing. To be proficient in legidlation, homologation, test and validating planning and recording and delievering such plans.

Education and Training Ideally a degree level education, alternatively HNC/HND minimum with an engineering Apprenticeship in the motor industry.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Create and maintain a complete set of vehicle test procedures, specifications, records of SMT puiblished data and forthcoming legislation issues which affect our products.

Create obtain and maintain all necessary homologation paperwork and documents for vehicles, systems and component Approvals.

Read, record, store and understand the impact upon our products of all regulations and update our management and employees of the impact of these.

Provide signatory approval for all designs to ensure compliance with legal and homologated issues.

Faciliate, organise and control all COP audits (type approvals) with VCA

Undertake assesments of the overall performance and capabilities of design proposals with a view towards legislation and homologation.
