• What’s involved:

1. Develop and monitor project plans and other project documentation in accordance with Council standards.

2. Manage projects to agreed time, budget and deliverable quality as set out in the project documentation.

3. Identify, manage, and record project risks and issues, including the development of contingency/mitigation/resolution/escalation plans.

4. Monitor the project progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary,

5. Liaise with internal and external staff, contractors and consultants to identify and develop innovations in service provision and project delivery.

6. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external agencies and to ensure all staff and stakeholders involved in the project meet their responsibilities on time and to the required standard.

7. Lead, motivate and manage team staff to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the project within budget and timescales.

8. Report through agreed reporting lines on project progress and stage assessments and prepare other reports applicable to the role, including committee reports.
