Sales Manager – Capital Equipment - Food and Pharmaceutical Industries.

Our client is the leader in their sector, specialising in precision instruments ,in addition to a wide product array, they offer the most comprehensive range of services in their industry on a global level. With more than 10,000 employees, they generate annual sales of over USD 1 billion.
Their Product Inspection Division incorporates the combined SBU products of Metal Detection, X-Ray and Check weighing. As Sales Manager Product Inspection, you will lead and develop a team of 6 Sales employees to achieve profitable sales growth in line with agreed Company, Divisional and Group targets. You will be responsible for developing ongoing business plans, targets and objectives, as well as being involved in some Key Account direct sales. Specific responsibilities include:
•To achieve local sales and Value Added targets for the Product Inspection Division.
•Writing management reports on a regular and ad hoc basis, including topics such as business trends, team performance, visit and quote rates, major competitor activity and pricing policies.
•Maintaining effective relationships with all sales team members, through regular meetings and joint field visits.
•Assisting in product launches, marketing and exhibition planning in a thorough and timely manner.
•Managing product pricing and margin control.
•Facilitate quarterly sales team reviews to assess performance and set short term targets, as well as ongoing monitoring of those targets.
•Forging close working relationships with Country managers to build team spirit and cooperation across Marketing Organisation / Sales Business Units.
The successful candidate will have a proven sales management experience within the food and pharmaceutical industries, selling capital equipment.
You will need to be a highly motivated and enthusiastic people-manager with a focus on quality of work. We are seeking a results and target driven manager who is well organised and can install an excellent team ethos. You should also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a flexible approach to work.
