We require a flexible Practice Manager in our Youth Offending Team who specialises in Anti-Bullying and Protective Behaviours who can commit to working some evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
As a member of this multi-disciplinary Youth Offending Service in Buckinghamshire, you will play a key role in service delivery, safeguarding, child protection & care planning and will lead, supervise and manage the performance of others, to achieve performance targets and standards, within statutory requirements and company and partner agencies' policy.
Practice Manager Duties:
* Management and development of the Youth Offending Service
* Undertake admission assessment as part of the multi-agency assessment team, identifying issues of vulnerability.
* Manage a caseload of young people with complex needs, undertaking assessment of needs, planning and co-ordinating intervention and support
* Co-ordinate Anti-Bullying practice and ensure an appropriate response to safeguarding and child protection concerns
* Undertake direct work including the delivery of offending behaviour work both on a 1:1 basis and in groups
* Liaise agencies such as Health, Education, Connexions, Youth Offending Teams & Youth Justice Board
Practice Manager Skills:
* Knowledge of the Children Act 1989 & 2004 and responsibilities to safeguard children
* Knowledge and expertise in youth justice and services for children and families in need
* Ability to communicate effectively with a varied audience
* Post-qualifying experience of working in a social care environment, specifically with children, preferably in youth offending services
Requirements:
To qualify for this Practice Manager role, you will need to have:
* GSCC Registration
* Social Work Qualification (CQSW/DipSW/CSS)
* FDAP 10 module or relevant substance misuse qualification
